Freelance journalist Marc Durand (covering the Quebec delegation at the 2023 and 2025 Canada Games) has launched a new webpage dedicated to the 1967 Canada Games—the very first Canada Games in history. With a 60-year span separating that inaugural event from Quebec’s upcoming turn as host in 2027, the connection is striking. The project draws on collective memory following the acquisition of over 600 vintage negatives. Cross-country skiing has always been a discipline at these winter games, and Durand needs your help and your recollections: do you recognize any athletes or people you know in these images? If so, please visit https://marcdurand.photodeck.com/ and get in touch with him.
